How is the Lotto jackpot shared?▾
The Lotto jackpot is pari-mutuel: every week 40% of ticket revenue is the common fund. If no ticket matches all 6 numbers, the amount is carried over to the next draw. If there are multiple winners, the jackpot is divided equally.
How long do I have to collect my winnings?▾
Winnings can be claimed within 90 days from the draw date. After this deadline, unclaimed prizes are transferred to the OPAP reserve.
How are profits taxed?▾
In Greece, winnings from games of chance are taxed as follows: winnings up to 100 € tax-free, profits €100–500 at a rate of 15%, profits over €500 at a rate of 20%. The tax is withheld at source by OPAP.
